AVV WebControl Logo

Company Name: AVV WebControl

Company Website: www.avv.com

Founded in 1995

Location: Columbus, OH

Below is from the company website:

Applied Virtual Vision was started in 1995 by Dan Vogel and Chris Lentz in Columbus, Ohio as an Internet development company that also specialized in CD-Rom and print conversion. Dan’s previous experience working in the automotive industry steered the company toward web site development for car dealerships.

With Dan’s vision and Chris’ technical skills, they have taken AVV from a start-up company a few years ago, to one of the leaders in the industry doing web sites and downloads for automotive dealers.

And now, with AVV’s Internet Sales Management (ISM) tool, they have managed to develop a user-friendly dealership-centered tool. ISM is a continually developing product that grows with the needs of the client, and that is how AVV plans on going one step beyond the competing cookie-cutter products.

Are you a current AVV WebControl client or have you used their products or services in the past? If you, please comment and tell us about your experiences with AVV WebControl!

I wasn’t a Web Control user, but I did work for AVV from 1999 to 2003. I was a DB/app programmer, and worked in the ADS (Automotive Download Service) department. At our peak, we were pulling data from, I think, 12,000 dealer DMS systems each business day. We provided the data to many of the companies you have listed here on your blog. The company Dealerskins in particular caught my eye.
